TapeOp Editor Chimes In

This one’s a doozy, Folks.
Today the new Tape Op Magazine issue dropped (#169), and it includes editor Larry Crane’s rave review of my newest book MIXERMAN’S Ultimate Guide to PRODUCING Records, Music & Songs.
I encourage you to read the entire review, but let me just drop this little flavor bomb for you…
“This book is dead on the best practical, hardcore advice about real-life record-making that I’ve ever read.”
And in case you didn’t know, my book is also a finalist for a TEC Award at the 2026 NAMM show for Audio Education Technology (don’t forget to vote!).
So, do read the review, and all of the articles in TapeOp (it really is the best recording industry rag out there), and then do yourself a favor and pick up my book, because Larry also warns:
“My only fear is that the people who need to read this most will be the ones who skip past it.”
Don’t be one of those people.
Enjoy! Mixerman
